In a previous blog post, we looked at the importance of using an effective landing page generator, particularly one that works hard at geo-targeting or categorising content, to succeed in delivering as many key, live prospects as possible.
This achieved, the next key is to gain an immediate interaction with these visitors, as would happen in a physical location or during a telephone call. This personalises the landing page by getting inside the mind of the visitor and starting a conversation (as best you can). In the previous blog post, we looked at three successful ways to manage this, and make your landing page profitable and increase conversion rates. Now here are another trio to consider:
Make an immediate announcement – this turns a piece of sales content into a news story, and quickly adds urgency and interest to the information provided. A starting point can be either a use of the word itself: "Announcing an improvement in…" or in an attention-grabber such as: "Great news! There is now a…" What follows should refer to what the visitor wants to gain by using your products or services and can then go on to explain how this is "suddenly" being achieved.
Present a series of facts that are vital in the decision-making process. Immediately on arrival, the visitor starts to understand how, through using what you are providing, they can solve their specific problem or make the improvement they wish. For example: "Six ways to assess your current xxx" or "Seven points to know when choosing a xxx". Every point might not be relevant to each visitor, but the majority should be.
Tell them how the times are changing – if you can present your product or service as an immediate improvement on what they currently have, your landing page visitor will start to consider what this means for them. Using terms such as "breakthrough" or "upgrade" helps emphasise this message.
These ideas can be melded to fit a wide range of items and circumstances and turn a slightly interested visitor to your landing pages into a quickly interested prospect.
