They therefore have to "sell" your website and draw people in. This isn't the wisest approach. Too much data can overwhelm a viewer and cause them to "bounce" off your site. In order to avoid this, try to only provide links and information that are likely to be relevant to the viewer.

    For example, if the landing page is designed to appear when a user searches for a specific service, only show links to the part of your website that deals with that service. After all, if they needed another one of your services or products, they'd have found your site through a different landing page! You can also provide a link to the home page, just in case your viewers do have additional navigational needs.

  2. Include a section introducing your business

    Remember that your landing page will be the first experience many customers have with your website and your business. It's therefore absolutely vital that you explain what you do and what you can offer customers. Web users are not likely to put their trust in businesses that do not adequately explain themselves, so make sure you place your introduction prominently on all of your landing pages! However, you should also try to keep it short, in order to avoid overwhelming the viewer with superfluous data (as discussed in our first tip).

  3. Keep the colour scheme simple

    Customers don't just leave landing pages because of information overload; sometimes it can happen simply because the page features a garish colour scheme that makes it look unprofessional. Try to choose a neutral background hue and use a maximum of two colours for your page's features.
